Make-Up

My passion for makeup was greatly enhanced by the realisation that my own youthful looks were fading. I’d seen the power of good makeup as I had been a stylist with hair for many years and worked alongside some amazing artists. So I decided to train to apply my own makeup with precision and purpose.

It’s amazing to see how a good makeup application can lift and plump and re-sculpture a face. Just like an artist would use colour and shade to give dimension to a painting.

Makeup and Hairstyling are actually quite scientific. Working to proportions regarded to be the most beautiful, a Mathematical ratio is used to encourage what is said to be the most beautiful to a face.

“The Golden Ratio “ (developed in Ancient Greece) was an equation used by sculptures and Artists and remains unchanged to this modern day. It is often encouraged to be used by professional Makeup Artists and other Aesthetic Practitioners, but in my opinion, this only brings beauty when you mix it with the uniqueness of each human being, I’m my mind it’s this combination that brings true beauty and confidence.

Everyone should look in the mirror and love what they see, and this can be helped by just a little knowledge and a few cheeky cheats!
